Areas given are the seven areas in Wainwright's books.

				'Munros'

Of course there are no Munros in the Lakes, because Munros are the 3,000ft hills of Scotland. But what would you get if you picked up the Lakes mountains and put them in Scotland? The answer is commonly thought to be four mountains: Scafell Pike, Scafell, Helvellyn, and Skiddaw. Two subsidiary peaks of Scafell Pike, namely Ill Crag and Broad Crag, could make the number up to six if they are seen as mountains in their own right. There are no more than these six in any case.

Ruling out mountains with less than 150m of drop on all sides would reduce the list to three: Scafell Pike, Helvellyn and Skiddaw.

				'Corbetts'

You know the score: between 2,500ft (762m) and 3,000ft (915m) with at least 500ft (152m) of reascent from all approaches. Applying these criteria to the Lakes gives us this neat little list, every one a winner (apart from High Raise which is a grassy lump).

There are three 'Corbetts' in England outside the Lake District, which means 17 in total including the 14 Lakes 'Corbetts' above. These three non-Lakes English 'Corbetts' are all in the Pennines: Cross Fell, The Cheviot and Mickle Fell. See the Pennines page for all the info.

				'Corbett Tops'

What about the mountains of Corbett height that don't have the required 152m reascent from all approaches? All such mountains, as long as they have a drop of 30m or greater, are called Corbett Tops. The definition and terminology were created by TACit Press and applied to Scottish mountains, in order to neaten and extend the official SMC list of Corbetts. Corbett Tops are the whole group (everything with 30m or more of reascent), and Corbetts are the subset with drops over 152m. There are 52 Corbett Tops in the Lakes, of which 14 are also Corbetts and 38 are just Corbett Tops. These 38 non-Corbett Corbett Tops are shown in the next list. The Corbett column gives each Corbett Top's parent Corbett.

				'Grahams'

Grahams are Scottish mountains of between 2,000ft (610m) and 2,500ft (762m) in height with at least 150m of reascent from all approaches. Applying these numerical criteria to the Lakes, we get the following list.

				'Graham Tops'

Just as the Corbetts are a subset of the Corbett Tops, so the Grahams are a subset of the Graham Tops. Graham Tops need only 30m of reascent. There are 9 Grahams and 47 Graham Tops that aren't Grahams, making 56 in all. The 47 non-Graham Graham Tops are below. The Graham column gives each Graham Top's parent Graham.
